Jr Newtown Action Alliance To Hold Community Vigil To #StandWithParkland

The Jr Newtown Action Alliance (Jr NAA) is set to host a community vigil at Blue & Gold Stadium at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road, on Friday, February 23, to support the community of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., following the shooting there on February 14.
The vigil was announced on February 20. Newtown students, teachers, and community members are encouraged to RSVP to attend the event through a Facebook event page, facebook.com/events/2041180126151317/.
The announcement read: “On February 14, 2018, a gunman with assault weapons killed 17 students and teachers at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. The Newtown students, having lived through a similar tragedy on December 14, 2012, are hosting a candlelight vigil for the Newtown community to remember the victims and to support the community of Parkland.”
The vigil is set to start at 6 pm and run until 7:30 pm.
